About Wisconsin Septic Guide

Wisconsin Septic Guide is a publication of Tanner Preserve, a Delafield, Wisconsin company. We put this site together to answer, in plain English, the questions Wisconsin homeowners actually ask about private septic systems: how they work, what the state and county require, and what the work costs.

What is this site

It is an informational guide, nothing more. We explain how Wisconsin’s POWTS rules under Wis. Admin. Code chapter SPS 383 work, and we point you to the real sources so you can verify everything yourself.
