Ozaukee County Septic (POWTS) Filing System

Ozaukee County administers its Sanitation and Health Ordinance, Chapter 9 of the county code, through the Land and Water Management Department, and it runs its own dedicated public website for POWTS service records, separate from the county’s main site.

The maintenance cycle

At least once every 3 years, the septic tank and pump chamber, where one exists, has to be pumped by a licensed pumping service, with a report filed to the county’s Environmental Health Department.

Ozaukee County keeps a standalone lookup tool, the POWTS Service Filing System, where a homeowner can search their own system to see when the next service is due and who performed the last one. If the county does not have a digital record for your property, staff will locate and scan the paper file where possible.

Fees
